Although the online instructional environment may seem different, the actual “classroom” itself is not.  Parents and guardians are encouraged to support their students side-by-side or in proximity, but just as if they were observing, visiting or volunteering, they would not be interacting with the teacher or other students during the lesson or other instructional time.  Please understand that teachers have live instructional time in which they are teaching lessons.  If your child has questions, they can use the communication tools (chat, raise a hand, etc.) to interact with the teacher, but once a lesson has started, the teacher will continue to teach according to the schedule.

Please do:

• Work with your student as much as possible
• Ask questions and support your student in this challenging educational space
• Communicate with your student’s teachers outside of the live instructional time
• Help minimize the distractions for your child(ren) while they are engaged in learning

Please do not:

• Interact with the teacher during the lesson
• Talk to your student during the lesson (if talking to your student is necessary, please mute the mic and black the video)
• Communicate with other students during the lesson

Aunque el ambiente de la enseñanza en línea parece diferente, la “sala de clase” actual no es diferente. Animamos a los padres y tutores apoyar a sus estudiantes lado a lado o muy cerca, pero como antes si un padre o tutor visitaba a la clase para observar, visitar, o ser voluntario, no interactuaran con el maestro o los otros estudiantes durante la lección u otro tiempo de enseñanza. Favor de entender que los maestros tienen tiempo de enseñanza en vivo cuando están enseñando las lecciones. Si su niño tiene preguntas, puede usar los útiles de comunicación (chat, levanta la mano, etc) para interactuar con el maestro, pero una vez que la lección ha empezado, el maestro continuará enseñando según el horario.

Favor de:

• Trabajar con su estudiante lo más posible
• Hacer preguntas y apoyar su estudiante en este espacio educativo desafiante
• Comunicar con el maestro de su estudiante fuera del tiempo de enseñanza en vivo
• Ayudar en minimizar las distracciones para su estudiante durante el tiempo de aprendizaje

 Favor de no:

• Interactuar con el maestro durante la lección
• Hablar con su estudiante durante la lección (si es necesario hablar con su estudiante, favor de poner en silencio el micrófono y apagar el cámara de video)
• Comunicar con otros estudiantes durante la lección
